I’m working as a freelancer in my contract. It’s been a year since I live in Japan with my wife and almost the time to file the tax. I’m planning to get my PR in the future. I have questions about pension and My Number (I don’t know if both related or not).
1. Actually should I pay for pension from the day I came to Japan?
2. If I register for My Number do they gonna hunt me for pension money?
People said it’s better to pay. But some people said we can pay everything together at the day we want to apply for PR (which I prefer). I’m quite confuse since a lot people doing it wrong at their own risk. What’s actually the right rule for it?
My friends at work keep saying different things. So I haven’t decide to make My Number and haven’t pay the pension until now (I don’t even know how to register the pension, lol). People said they will sent letter every month, I think I never receive such a letter.
