I intend to begin tutoring some folks abroad in exchange for USD that will be going into my US bank account. I have lived in Japan about a year at this point and intend to stay here while I do this. I maintain a full time job here in Japan, as well. How will this affect my Japanese taxes? Would I need a change in visa status to do this legally? Should I have it sent elsewhere rather than my US bank account?
