Heyo!
I’ll be visiting Japan for a couple weeks in March, and we’re planning to spend the last few days of our trip hiking/walking around the Kiso Valley area (doing the Nakasendo trail, exploring a few post towns, etc). We’ll be leaving Kyoto, spending about 3 days exploring, and then going back to Tokyo for a night before heading home.
We’re each hoping to only bring a backpack along since dragging large luggage around would be awful with that much walking.
I’ve been looking into luggage forwarding services, but I’m still a little fuzzy on how it all works.
If we wanted to ship our larger luggage from Kyoto (we’re in an airbnb, so we’d have to drop it off at a convenience store I assume?) to our hotel in Tokyo, but won’t be picking it up for like 3 days, is that an option? Or will they not want to hold on to it for us for that long?
