I did a newbie thing and opened 2 different NISA accounts, one at UFJ, and one at auKabucom. Initially they both were opened, but then just yesterday I received a notification a that my aukabucom one was closed because i wasn’t allowed to have 2 accounts (makes sense).
Most of the questions/answers I’ve found online have only been pertaining to old NISA accounts moving over to new brokers for the new NISA, none about New NISA to new NISA in 2024.
My question: Is it still possible to close my UFJ NISA account now, and open (re-open) my NISA account with auKabucom? Or am I stuck with UFJ for the remainder of 2024?
I got the notification from auKabucom yesterday night at 8PM, right after their phone lines closed so I can’t ask them directly until Monday.
