I am trying to decide if a day trip to Kamakura or an overnight and a day in Hakone on the way to Kyoto. I know they are very different, but what do you think is the best bang for our buck -so to speak? This is our first trip to Japan. We are going to be in Tokyo for 3 full days and then we will either day trip to Kamakura and then back to Tokyo to head to Kyoto the next day, or we will leave Tokyo do some time in Hakone and then spend the night and then the next early afternoon head to Kyoto. Do you think the experience of a day trip or doing a quick overnight in Hakone is best? Thanks so much!
