Hi there! Quick question regarding tax, paperwork and any other additional I need to keep an eye out for.
After settling here for the last 5 years and planning my future, I’d like to start sending money from my own account abroad to my Japanese account through a service such as WISE.
The amount does not exceed ¥1mil, so based on my understanding is that it’s exempt from tax?
I’m trying to wrap my ahead around whether I need to:
1. Make my bank aware of the upcoming transaction.
2. Complete any tax related paperwork for the government.
3. Expected protocols that will come from the bank before the amount reflects.
I would be grateful for any links to governmental PDFs or references to keep handy!
