3 friends visiting Japan for the first time. Will be visiting Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and Kanazawa using Hokuriku arch pass. I have planned for Wakura onsen earlier but with the present situation, I have changed it to Karuizawa. Please let me know if there is a better onsen that is easier to reach and have a good experience for a half day tour. It would be great if the transport can be covered under Hokuriku arch pass.
Does percentage of natural spring waters really matter in an onsen? I see that some onsens are 100% natural spring and some are not. Please educate me on the effect.
