Heparinoid Lotion 0.3%

Doctor gave me this lotion, when i asked him to suggest a serum for dry skin. I couldnt find much about the ingredients and its effects. Can i use this for a long time? Its been just 2 weeks and i dont see any results.
(Indian living in Japan) my major concern is dry skin and i am trying to build skin care routine. Currently i am using moisturiser and sunscreen and they are not helping.

  1. Hi! I’ve been dealing with a persistent dry hands since before winter. Doctor gave the same but it seems not enough in 0 temperatures. I found that adding Q10 hand cream (the gold one) doesn’t make it worse, at the very least & I also started using chocola bb plus supplement (less than a week). So far it’s a good mix for me! Try exploring moisturizers without fragrances & see what works for your skin

  2. In addition to skin care, try to improve the humidity of where you live, if you can.

You can buy a humidistat at Daiso or other 100-yen stores. Even 40 or 50% humidity will help a lot over 20 to 30%.

The challenge with humidifiers is that [ultrasonic humidifiers are dangerous for your health](https://dynomight.net/humidifiers/). I used one for a while and ended up with a coating of white dust on my windows and walls.

Now I have a [Zojirushi steam humidifer](https://www.zojirushi.co.jp/syohin/life/humidifier/), which is excellent, but expensive to operate as it uses a lot of electricity.

  3. Dry skin is often a problem here in winter. Drink lots of water, moisturise in the morning and after bathing. I also recommend using rubber gloves for all of your dishwashing and cleaning, as constant exposure to water and chemicals is very drying. Humidifier is also a good idea.

Also, depends on your usual skincare routine! I changed my products to the Some by Mi green set recently (it’s a Korean brand, good for men and women), it has been very good for my skin. Always wash face, then use toner, moisturise, and sunscreen last. I use gentle face wash in the morning, and an acne preventing cream in the evenings. You might have to experiment to find something good for your skin type!

  4. Out of curiosity, did you go to a regular dr or a dermatologist? If just a regular dr, I recommend searching for a good dermatologist as they can also prescribe vitamins as well as cream to help from the inside out.

  5. You need to use an AHA cream. Others just sit on the surface of your skin. I recommend Eucerin Roughness Relief. You can get it in iherb. Use daily to prevent dry skin.
