Is there website or a method how to read a Japanese name? I know kanji (medium level) but when it comes to names…I’m hopeless. Need it for new job. Thankyou.
[https://jisho.org/](https://jisho.org/) comes up with a list of readings on the sidebar
Keep in mind many first names are often unconventional, and this is increasingly becoming more common.
You can do a web search for pretty much any word or name plus 読み方. Japanese people have trouble, too.
Japanese wikipedia can also be helpful! Not foolproof since, as others have noted, some names have more than one possible reading and you wouldn’t necessarily know which one it is.
But if find a wiki page of someone with the same last (or first!) name as the one you want, those also always have the hiragana in parentheses next to it.
Rikaikun is a google chrome plugin that reads kanji for you if you hover over it. It shows all readings, all definitions, and what part of grammar it is.

I’ve always liked this site: https://myoji-yurai.net/
