I skipped the AT and went directly for the MT. It’s the same test, just with a stick…passed on the first try but that’s cause I’m very experienced with a MT…
My wife did this 4-5 years ago. IIRC it was about 4 hours of lessons plus the test. We went through a driving school. I think it set me back about 70,000.
If you’re really confident with stick, you can just go to the licensing centre and take the test directly for a lot less – but be warned that they like to fail people that don’t go to a driving school.
