I work 100% from home, and so i figured I can claim my rent and utility as business expenses (or a percentage of it for the room I use?)
The issue is that I’m living with a partner, and the contract is under their name. We agreed to split costs and I’m paying the full rent, which I do by transferring the amount every month to their bank account, which they use to pay the rent.
Question: can I just add this amount directly to my business expenses when filling my taxes, or is there something else I need to do?
