Hi guys! I’m just curious on the experiences of ALTs under Altia Central.
What was Orientation/Training like? What’s the workload and work life balance like? A big reason I’m leaning towards an ALT position over an eikaiwa is the work hours. Also, were you placed where you stated you preferred? For example, say you told them you preferred an urban area. Did they place you in an urban area, or close to one? If you’re in a non-driving position, how was the transportation to and from your schools?
In your experience, what are the students like? I’ve only taught in the U.S, and I’ve been spat on, hit, etc lmao. I’ve been told the kids in Japan are more respectful. Is this true for the most part?
