Wife and I are going to Japan for the first time next month. We planned majority of our itinerary but there are still some gaps before ending our stay in Tokyo.
I know there are few areas outside of main hub Tokyo that are supposed to be wonderful like Nikko and the 5 lakes. We are nature people and willing to do a moderate hike, are there spots that people recommend outside downtown Tokyo that we may enjoy?
I was looking into Lake Motosu and maybe one other spot before we spend about 3-4 days in Tokyo.
