I have been looking around and seeing that I am required to show the Japanese Government roughly 12-14k USD in funds to get a student visa. I am currently saving with my husband, but I do not know if we will have that much by the time I have to apply; if I get accepted into the university I am applying too.
I did read about someone who parent just showed proof of income instead of the 12-14k in savings. Is this true? If this is possible would my husband’s veteran disability income work as proof as income? Or does he need like a job’s income?
Also, can I have 2 guarantees? My father and my husband that is. My father works and has active regular income. I doubt he has 12-14k in the bank in savings, but I know he would have a good amount.. just not enough to make up the amount.
Could I have both our money combined to make up the 12-14k? Will I be accepted if I was to have them both be my support?
On a side note, I am planning on having my husband as my dependent when I apply for my student visa. Will that not be possible? Will it overlap with him being my guaranteer?
Thank you for taking the time to read!
