Singing karaoke not in the catalog?

Hello! As the title suggests, I’m looking to see if anyone has any methods for playing songs that aren’t in Joysound or LiveDamm’s catalogs. I found some articles from a while ago saying that there was some net video feature on Joysound where you could play Youtube videos (so things like CC Karoke and whatever would be doable) but I tried to use it a few months ago and again last week and it seems like they discontinued it.

So now I am asking very very broadly – I don’t care how unorthodox or weird or complicated your methods are – do any of you do anything to sing songs not in the catalog?

  1. Iirc the YouTube video was mostly just for background (so for example you can play the mv to the song instead of watching outdated vague stock karaoke scenes). If it’s not in catalog, I think you are out of luck until it’s added. I will say though, sometimes the main machine has more songs than the shown catalogue on the remote, so if you can find the number of the song on their online catalogue, you can try and enter the number directly (I did this a lot)

Edit: I may be totally wrong about the YouTube thing, I just remember me and friends used it to have the MV of songs while singing to have more fun. There might’ve been a different feature definitely! And it may have been discontinued due to copyright issues
