So i just bought a suica card and put it on my iphone hoping to just put more money on it that way but now, when i try to out more money on it, it wont let me, i’m using a visa card if that matters and i’m trying to put the money on it with USD hoping it will do the conversion for me, is it any of those issues? If so how do I pay in yen if i’m still technically “in the US” via my address, or did i just waste ¥1000 putting money on a suica that i can’t recharge now?

This error has been going on for about a week. Seems like Visa and Mastercard are affected, while some have success with Amex. Check out the post below.

It used to work fine, but apparently visa started blocking payments to Suica a week or so ago. Which is really unfortunate, the convenience was incredible! As the other poster said, see the other thread for more details
