BLUF: Applying for a Spouse Visa from Outside Japan, Is there an Savings threshold to show evidence of financial stability?
We have been married for 7 years, living in the US the entire time, I’ve worked the same job this entire period. Wife is a Japanese national (Dual U.S/Japanese citizenship). Applying from outside Japan, U.S. I’m the sole Income earner while stays at home to watch our 1 year old. We’ll use her brother as our garuntor. Have started to look for jobs, but believe having the Visa in hand will make this process easier. For the evidence of financial stability requirement part of the COE, is there an rough amount in the savings they look for?
