NJPW had a working relationship with K-Dojo now 2AW around 2018 to help put on the Lion’s Break shows. Yoshida was their top young boy at the time and had a rivalry with Shota which also lead to them teaming during the 2018 WTL. Since returning Yoshida eventually became their top champion twice and has had appearances in AJPW, GLEAT and Freedoms.
