Move-out and then D+1 move-in?

UPDATE: Thank you for all the kind inputs on my question! I have a quote in hand for about 27,000 – 40,000 JPY (which TBH sounds a little too cheap given the high season), but I also know I can use Yamato Kuroneko’s moving service where they provide a large lift-sized box I independently pack, for them to lug over to storage and then to my new place. This would be perfect for me as there’s nothing to assemble/disassemble.

In essence: has anyone had experience ‘storing’ their items with a moving company overnight before moving in to their place the next day?

Hello Tokyo residents, I’m in a small pickle. My lease ends on the 31st of March and I can only enter my new unit on the 1st of April. Fortunately I don’t have too many items, and I am still trying to negotiate an extra day if I can without incurring a whole month’s additional charge.

All my belongings can fit easily in a standard van, but since this is my first time moving in Tokyo, I wasn’t sure which company to hit up or what the standard procedure would be.

Thank you in advance for any advice you can share!
