Disposing of old Children’s Toy’s and Clothing

I’m facing having to clear out my home, it’s full of what many like my Wife, may consider as being Junk, though I wonder… is it ?

I don’t have a Car, so can’t go to a flee market, and anyway, it’ll charge me to sit there all day in the hope someone may want to buy the stuff.
Is there anywhere in Central Tokyo, that will take en-masse things like Children’s Toy’s and Clothing, regardless of Condition (though mostly Good) ? And will they even pickup without charging me ?
My Wife simply wants to throw stuff out, saying that the local Ward will redistribute them, though I’m skeptical at that one, and as I’m from a different background, I’m thinking some people may actually appreciate these things, especially if they can’t afford to buy stuff for their Kids. So, if you know of any Charity organizations who will simply take stuff off my hands, then please advise, as that would be my preferred option.

From my own Personal “Worldly goods” – I have lots of old Computer junk that I’ve amassed over the years, old Motherboards, CPUs, Hard drives, PSUs, SCSI Devices, Computer , etc. Are there people still interested in 1990’s-2010’s “Junk” like this, or should I just pay for dumping the whole lot ? I’ve previously tried advertising some of it on “Tokyo Classified”, but had no takers… so I guess I need to throw it all out – is there a zero cost way for me to do so ?

Finally, is there an equivalent in Japan, to hiring a Skip (“UK term”), and simply tossing everything into it to be taken away and dumped – just as there is in the UK ?

I’ve been here quite a while, but haven’t had to ditch so much such stuff, hence I’m asking an open question to anyone who has had experience in having to do so. The same information, may also, be useful too, for others in a similar situation – so worthy for retaining for future reference.
