Me and my boyfriend are heading to Osaka in the next 2–3 weeks, and we are currently looking for places to rent a kimono in Kyoto and walk around with.
The only problem, however, is that I am extremely anxious the kimono’s/ yukatas wont fit me and that no stores will have a size for me (being 170cm tall with an 85cm waist, 110cm hips, 100cm bust, etc.). My hips and bust are my main worries, as they are my largest areas (I am generally quite curvy). We went to Korea last year, and we managed to find a hanbok in the bigger section, but I just don’t know how this time will play out.
its especially disheartening since I’ve recently finished losing 15 kg, so I am rather content with my body proportions. I’m just worried I will have to face the embarrassment of arriving and having to walk out empty-handed. If anyone knows of any kimono rental stores that include larger sizes in Kyoto or if my measurements might fit into a normal one, please let me know!
