I plan to go to Tokyo for a day on 26th December, leaving for Tokyo on the first train out and coming back on the last train. Since it’s holiday season, would I need to book tickets in advance, as in, right now? I’m afraid the trains might be full if I purchase tickets on the day of travel. If I got the tickets now would I be able to change the date/time travel if something comes up? Thank you in advance!
