Foreign Credit Card use and definition of Remittance

If one uses a foreign credit card in Japan and pays the card debt using funds from outside of Japan, this counts as a remittance as has been previously discussed here before and seems fairly clear on this section of the NTA website: [https://www.nta.go.jp/law/tsutatsu/kihon/shotoku/02/01.htm](https://www.nta.go.jp/law/tsutatsu/kihon/shotoku/02/01.htm)

However, if one were to send funds from Japan to the foreign country, and then pay the credit card debt with these funds, does this still count as a remittance?

Section 7-6 in the above NTA material specifically mentions use of funds from overseas, so am unsure here.

The reason this is important is as has been discussed before, making a remittance can affect declaration of foreign-sourced income for a non-permanent resident.

Thank you.
