I used to work in a Japanese company in my country. I tried and failed multiple times before I finally get my N2. That was in 2020. Now I’m not working in a Japanese company. I mostly use my Japanese to watch cartoons or read novels now.
Getting N1 and work in Japan used to be my dream, but I’m pretty happy with where I am now so I’m not planning to move soon. The line of work I’m doing have no need for being bilingual, so there is little chance that I’m gonna use my Japanese
Studying for N1 is not gonna be a walk in the park. So, do you guys think there’s still value in striving for N1? Has anyone here ever studied and passed a JLPT exam for no reason?
