When I googled epenthesis in Japanese, it mostly returned articles about loanwords from English. I’m more interested in regular tricky Japanese sentences, such as when you get a triple “t” sound in a row.
For example, the sentence segment 手伝いに来てた時 has a triple “t” sound in a row and I’m getting tongue-tied more often than not trying to pronounce it moderately fast. I’m asking because when I heard a native Japanese saying this phrase, they pronounced ”来てた” more like ”来ていた”. Is this a thing?
