Sleeping experience in Japan using airbnb or hotels?

I’m visiting Tokyo for 2 weeks in March, and have already booked my airbnb based on good reviews, with the biggest determining factor being that they slept well, (no loud neighbors, or thin walls)

But I’m hearing a lot that most of Japans infrastructure in homes are pretty much very thin walls. I’m a very light sleeper, so I’m doing my best to avoid this.

Lots of reviews in every city near Tokyo complain they can hear the person next door blink and breathe.

Did anyone struggle with this, or found a way around this, better areas or recommended airbnbs?
