Onions and lime, radishes, horseradish, I’ve even heard that applesauce is served traditionally with pork because of an enzyme that kills a specific worm in that meat. Etc
They’re actually very few countries that can grow the wasabi root. Japan, and the USA are among the few. The horseradish that u often see, is made with green food coloring to mimmik the actual wasabi color.
