We (partner and I) are very excited to visit the beautiful country of Japan for our first time this February. Aside from some personal recommendations and googling this was the *rough and unpolished* itinerary we came up with now that we are approximately one week out. Sunday 2/4/2024 – Tokyo Arrive 530am
– Breakfast at hotel/checkin
– Explore near hotel in Ginza
– Meji Jengu temple —> Harajuku shopping —> Shibuya —> Shinjuku dinner
– Shibuya Sky deck @ 17:00-17:20
Monday 2/5
– Tsukiji seafood market
– 10:30 Walking Tour Tokyo with group meet at Beck’s Coffee Shop Akihabara
– akihabara, Ueno and Kappabachi street and Senso-ji temple
– 7pm res at Sushi Midori @ Ginza location
Tuesday 2/6
– breakfast at Tsubaki Salon Ginza opens at 9am
– Imperial palace, chidorigafuchi moat, Akihabara (gatchapon, camera stores), pokemon
– Bar high five / golden gai bars
Wednesday 2/7 (Tokyo to Kyoto)
– Check out go to Tokyo station early reserve train
– Lunch when we get off train near Kyoto Katsukura – Kyoto Porta
– Nishiki market
– Kyoto food tour 5pm location TBA
Thursday 2/8 (Day trip)
– To Fushini ina
– Nara
– Have lunch at Maguro Koya opens 11am
– Uji on way back?
Friday 2/9
– Imaya kyoto and coffee for breakfast (opens at 6am 11 min walk)
– Suntory distillery tour 1120a-1240
– Gion-historic streets, tea houses and visit Higashiyama (shrines and parks) close to eachother 20 min walk
Saturday 2/10
-Arashiyama bamboo grove, Okochi Sanso Garden, Daihikaku Senkōji Temple, Tenryu-ji, Arashiyama Monkey Park Iwatayama
Sunday 2/11 (Kyoto to Kanasuki)
