I am in Kyoto for an internship until the end of January. In the last few months, I exercised a lot by walking in the surrounding mountains and by doing other activities. But now with the colder weather, I don’t feel the same energy to do this kind of exercise.
Therefore I am interested in giving the gym a try. I conducted a bit of research and found out about ‘anytime fitness’. Looking at their rates it was doable, but then I learned about the 2 months of membership fee. I found it a quite steep price to pay since I will only be able to go for two months. That’s why I was wondering if you could share some tips on gyms in Kyoto and which gyms have better offers.
Some more information,
I am an internship student but I don’t have an official Japanese student card/information (may this be needed for student-exclusive gyms).
I live close to **Kiyomizu-gojo station**, preferably around this area.
This gym membership would be for **two months** (from now till the end of January).
I am planning to go **2 to 4 times a week**.
The gym doesn’t need to be some private/expensive gym, I am fine with a **simpler** one.
