This over 400 year old village is just a half hour walk from Randen Saga station and JR Saga Arashiyama and there’s practically no tourists who know about it. I live just across Katsuragawa from the area and explored it for the first time yesterday and absolutely recommend giving it a visit to anyone spending a day in Arashiyama
