Hi thinking about applying for PR under fast track 70 points system, and I’m a bit confused about a) how income is proven and b) whether overtime counts under it.
For context, with the small amt of overtime I work, my salary is well over the ¥6 million threshold that would give me enough points, and has been since I started, but the basic salary would be short of that, about ¥5.76 million.
So my actual take-home salary and the amount that I pay taxes on would qualify, but my projected wouldn’t. So if I show tax documents about what I made, I would qualify, but if my company provides a document about my base salary, it wouldn’t.
I’ve heard conflicting reports on what people need to provide to immigration regarding this. Any insights would be very helpful! Please and thanks.

Here’s what the MOJ FAQ document says, and it seems unclear because it only talks about 入国 and 在留期間更新の場合, which aren’t really applicable here. (Also, not that I expect immigration logic to be 100% consistent, but why would bonuses count if this would also apply “どの程度の超過勤務が生ずるかは不確か”?)
問 7 「報酬」にはどのような名目による支給が含まれますか？例えば、超過勤務手当はポイント計算のための報酬に含まれますか？答 「報酬」とは、「一定の役務の給付の対価として与えられる反対給付」をいい、基本給のほか、勤勉手当、調整手当等が含まれます。通勤手当、扶養手当、住宅手当等の実費弁償の性格を有するもの（課税対象となるものを除く。）は含まれません。超過勤務手当は、一定の役務の給付の対価として与えられる反対給付ですが、**入国時点においてどの程度の超過勤務が生ずるかは不確かであることから、ポイント計算の「報酬」には含まれません。また、在留期間更新の場合も、ポイント計算の「報酬」は予定年収に基づいて判断するので、過去に支給された「超過勤務手当」は含まれません。**
