What do people think about the “Learn to Read Japanese” series by Roger Lake

This is a series of four books (the last one being a glossary): [https://www.japaneseaudiolessons.com/how-to-read-japanese-and-learn-kanji/](https://www.japaneseaudiolessons.com/how-to-read-japanese-and-learn-kanji/)

[https://www.amazon.com/s?i=stripbooks&rh=p\_27%3ANoriko+Ura&s=relevancerank&text=Noriko+Ura&ref=dp\_byline\_sr\_book\_2](https://www.amazon.com/s?i=stripbooks&rh=p_27%3ANoriko+Ura&s=relevancerank&text=Noriko+Ura&ref=dp_byline_sr_book_2)

After looking at the sample pages and watching the introductory video on YouTube: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHMwePSoPR4](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHMwePSoPR4) it just seems like a very complicated way to learn Kanji, not to mention that fact that I can’t see how one could use it until you are somewhat advanced in Japanese (in order to be able to read the sample sentences), such that you would hopefully have already learn some of the kanji already.

It just seems like it presents you with a lot of information but it all seems to be very spread out in different locations. But with almost 2,000 pages of content…

Has anyone used this course and was it helpful? How did you integrate it with other Japanese materials, Genki, JfZ, etc.?
