I am a first year undergraduate student, and was wondering if trying to email university laboratories in japan for possible summer research opportunities would be worth my time. Some other questions I have are how likely am I to receive a response in the first place, would I need to get some sort of visa (if under 90 days), and could I expect to receive any form of financial support.
