I need some advice. It’s been several years since my divorce to a Japanese woman. We were married both in Japan and in Washington State. We’re now legally divorced in Japan, and I’m moving back to the US (probably California). What do I need to do, if anything, to make sure I’m formally divorced in the US? I have the legal divorce doc (in both Japanese and English). It was an amicable parting — no kids, no property or money issues outstanding. We haven’t seen each in years! Thanks!
