I’m in Japan on a JASSO scholarship for a year, (halfway through now) but I think I’d like to cancel it and go back home and not stay another semester. I’m not feeling well.
Do you know if I’ll be obligated to pay it off? I actually don’t know the rules of the scholarship about this and the Japanese person in charge of it here said near the beginning (being very vague) that “it’s better to cancel it now (then, in the beginning) and go back home or stay for the entire duration”.
If you know anything about this, or can find info of the JASSO rules online, could you please let me know. Thank you
