Help Understanding Hotel Payment and Cancellation Policy

I’m currently in the process of booking accommodation for my upcoming trip to Japan. I was trying to book at the Onyado Nono Dormy Premium Asakusa Natural Hot Springs (https://dormy-hotels.com/en/dormyinn/hotels/nono\_asakusa/). I’m trying to book direct on the website, because I’m leery of booking through third party sites…I’m confused by their cancellation policy though – the English translation says:

Charges may apply for changes or cancellations. Please check the details before making any changes or cancellations.

Cancel:

No contact 100ï¼…

100% on the day

50% before 1 day

Does this mean that as long as I cancel more than 1 day beforehand, I will be refunded?

It also looks like you can pick between “local payment” and “advance payment” (but both are my credit card?) Does this just mean either I pay in advance or pay once I get there?
