I just found out that in Japan, there’s an extra tax to pay when staying in hotels, ryokans, and the price varies by city.
Where can I find official information? I want to know how much they will charge me in advance at each location. I’ve read that it’s around 100-200 yen per day per person, but I read on Booking that someone was charged 10,000 yen for 3 days at a hotel!
Can someone provide me with a bit of help? Thank you very much in advance.
