Hey everyone, planning to visit Japan for the second time after visiting last year and seeing the most touristy spots (Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Takayama, Yudanaka, Kanazawa) and now looking to go more west.
**Day 1 (Kansai Airport to Kobe):**
* Arrive late afternoon at Kansai Airport
* Take a train/shuttle to Kobe, check in at the hotel have some dinner, and get some must-needed sleep.
**Day 2 (Kobe):**
* Kobe Nunobiki Herb Gardens & Observation Deck
* Nunobiki Waterfall
* Kobe Chinatown Nankin-machi
* Kobe Harbor area
**Day 3 (Himeji day trip):**
* Himeji Castle
* Koko-en
* Nagoyama cemetery
* Mt. Shosha ropeway
* Engyoji
* Return to Kobe
**Day 4 (Okayama day trip):**
* Statue of Momotaro
* Okayama Castle
* Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter
* Return to Kobe

*Chose to skip Hiroshima for now as otherwise the trip back from Beppu at the end would be very long. Will visit Hiroshima at the end of the trip.*

**Day 12 (Kumamoto to Aso):**

**Day 13 (Aso to Beppu):**
* Beppu “Jigoku Meguri” Hells Tour

**Day 14 (Yufuin day trip & Beppu):**

**Day 15 (Beppu to Hiroshima):**

**Day 17 (Hiroshima to Kansai Airport):**
* Train to Kansai Airport and return home.
**Now I realize that some of the days would be very active and perhaps even impossible but I am not the kind of person to sit and relax during these kinds of trips.**
Please do let me know if there are any spots that I have missed but I really should visit! The same goes for sites that are a waste of time and I should scrap from the list.
