I opted not to bother getting a cable hookup with my internet, but I’m kind of wanting to have a TV now for constant language input (yes, I’m aware it’s 99% awful). I’d rather not actually buy a TV and deal with the hookup, so is there a service (legal, free or paid) to watch live Japanese TV online?
Edit: I’m looking for normal, crappy TV. I already have Netflix.

KODI on Windows is doable but I havent tried it yet. USTVGO has 96 channels
I think tver works on PC
Abema works in the browser, is good, is free.
TVer works for shows on TV now, but you only get the latest episode. Same for GYAO and other services.
Hulu if you want to watch a lot of shows.

While you’d technically have to hook it up, I think a USB TV tuner is what would suit you best.
https://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B006IZX9ZY/ and plug that into your antenna/cable. If you don’t have antenna in apartment buy a domestic indoor antenna w/booster like https://www.yodobashi.com/product/100000001001388059/ (probably cheaper elsewhere, just as a reference). Don’t buy Chinese stuff off amazon.
Plug stuff in, install TV app, watch mindless TV
You can get a OneSeg or a Fullseg card.
