Since Okada’s departure, one thought I’ve had is that Chono’s record of 5 G1 finals victories will stand for some time presumably (Okada having won 4).
What are y’all’s thoughts about this? Some said Okada deserved to break Chono-San’s record due to everything else he accomplished in the promotion, but I’m kinda glad that Chono’s record will stand for awhile now (despite having a neck injury, Chono ALWAYS showed out for the G1, which has always been an grueling tournament).
Now this leaves the door for a younger talent to possibly tie or break Chono’s record as well one day.
