Context: Am from the UK, have a working holiday visa with which I plan to do just that. However, I’d like to understand my options if I’d like to extend my stay.
By ‘work visa’ I understand there is the engineering visa and highly skilled visa but they both require a job to sponsor and one is tied to the employer and the other isn’t etc. I’m also interested in the startup visa (or whatever that changes to in 2024).
Will I need to return back to the UK first to apply for either VISA or can it be converted while still in Japan? Also what timeframe might you expect these routes to take?
