I mean, I would start by not trying to immerse in a city known for having a whole bunch of foreign ethnic groups in it, none of them being Japanese.
There’s about [63k Japanese citizens living in the UK](https://www.statista.com/statistics/1080368/japan-number-japanese-residents-united-kingdom/), or less than 0.1%, and they’re scattered about the country. I know there are some living in the countryside, and having talked to Japanese people, there are plenty who go to Leeds, Manchester, Bath, etc. not just London. There just isn’t the concentration you would need for an immersive environment.
Found several [meetup.com hits](https://www.google.com/search?q=london+japanese+meetup&oq=london+japanese+meetup&aqs=chrome..69i57.10615j0j9&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8) after a few seconds of Googling.
