Master Wato announced he suffered a left knee injury at New Beginning Nagoya, and will need to have surgery. He had been pulled from the house show on the 21st, but there was no official statement made by NJPW at that time.
Tonight’s match between him and SHO, which would have been the semi-main event, has been cancelled.
SHO sneak attacked Wato, targeting his knee, until eventually El Desperado came out to chase him away; though there was no physicality between the two.
