a question regarding yotsuba.

So the line そこおいといて more specifically とい is supposed to be be とく or ておく but the question is why とい but not とき?

  1. Since とく ends with く its て form is いて, so it becomes といて. You should refresh your memory on the て form conjugations (and non formal past tense at this point, it’s the same but instead of て it’s た).
