Do I need a CELTA to teach English in Japan with my current qualifications?

I’m gearing up to go back to Japan (did JET for a couple of years) to teach, hopefully not as an ALT but as a full time teacher. I have 5 years teaching experience in the US post JET, and I recently completed a master’s in TESOL. I’ve heard that a CELTA is borderline required to get jobs in Japan. Does that still apply to me with my years of experience and my degree? If it’s going to help with job hunting I really need to start as soon as possible.

Edit: I already have a World Learning’s SIT Graduate Institute (SIT) TESL certificate, I’m just not sure how much that means if it doesn’t have the name recognition of the CELTA. There was a practicum, just like the CELTA.
