Ever now and then, I see job listings for college admission consultants to help Japanese students apply for university in English speaking countries. With the exchange rate how it is, I can’t imagine anyone except super affluent students being able to study overseas. There’s definitely a stereotype of wealthy Chinese students cheating on overseas college apps, so I wonder if that also happens with wealthy Japanese students too.
