Hi all! Staying at an Airbnb in between Izu Kogen and the Jogasaki Coast hiking course. Part of a month long trip so trying to keep the costs down by not renting cars unless necessary. Can we get by with public transit?
I saw a photo of some outdoor onsen, one oceanfront and one along the river I think up near Ito but can’t find info on it and wondering if anyone has been. Would love to find some nice hot springs, particularly rotenburo. We will be there for a week over Easter, so plenty of time to relax and explore the peninsula.
Looks like I can take a train to places like Shimoda and Ito, but not to the Kawazu Falls, but I think there is a bus, though not sure how convenient/frequent it is.
Any recommendations for onsen, restaurants, photo spots, drone locations, etc would be so helpful and appreciated! thanks!
