I recently found about Core 2k/6k “Optimised Order” Anki Deck through Livakivi on YT. Would it be fine to presume the version before this had worse ordering, but now this deck has better ordering? If so, how good is it?
I recently got into learning Japanese just because I love it and Japan 🗾 in general. I would love to read novels in Japanese but heard that I’d need atleast 15-20k vocab for it to be enjoyable.
AFAIK, I read on this sub that the core decks are based off of a 1990s newspaper frequency, is this correct?
I want to use Core 2k/6k because of well, the *6k*. If this helps by taking out 1/3rd of the total vocabulary I’ll have to learn, then this is GREAT but at the same time I don’t want to learn rare or business oriented words that don’t show up in literature like fantasy light novels.
Is this deck worth doing or is there any other first deck that’s better? I do know about the Tango decks and JP1K, but that’s all I know on this topic. I have a literature goal, so please keep that in mind.
