Working as a lawyer in Japan

Hi guys, I’m currently a commercial lawyer at a mid tier law firm in Australia with about 3 years experience. I am thinking of making a move to work in Japan. I am aware that work life in Japan is drastically different from that of a tourist, but wanted to give it a go and if it fails, can always come back to Australia. In terms of practising, are my current qualifications sufficient (i.e. law degree from Australia)? I am also keen on developing my Japanese if that’s what it takes but I wonder if there are roles that exist where you don’t need to have a high level ability of speaking Japanese. If there is a particular thread for this please let me know, apologies if this has been asked before.
