While yes it does really suck Okada is leaving and on very short notice no less without giving NJ time to plan things, but this is generally honestly most excited and interested I’ve been to see where the company goes after such a big shake up like this because while I love Okada it’s a fact that the company has had him be the crutch for soo long that they haven’t felt they really needed to try out new things and experiment (at least in the main event scene besides finally pulling the trigger om Sanada) so now we are in situation with Naito on his last years and Tana taking more responsibilities bts that the company now has no choice but to push more people and this is probably gonna result in a lot more younger guys getting more motivated and fire in them to try and fill the massive vacuum Okada is leaving as the top star and more opportunities for guys who might’ve not gotten the chance to main-event guy when Okada was there.
Yeah it’s gonna suck that Okada is leaving and it’s not gonna feel the same without him and its a huge blow but like every situation like this there is negatives and huge potential positives that can result and NJPW has gone though similar situations and survived. Idk maybe I’m just copping and trying to find the positives in a not good situation but I’m excited to see what’s next because the future is much more uncertain and honestly that excites me. I might feel differently in a year but right now I’m honestly excited to what’s next.
